Tell Me Something Good!

Hi friends! I hope you've had a fabulous weekend! Mine has definitely been busy and productive!

Today, I'm linking up with Jennifer at Rowdy in First Grade:

Something Good at Home:
I have decided to get back on the "healthy wagon." I made my menu for the week and my grocery list, and I will be heading out to Kroger for some carb-less, protein-full yummies after I post. I'm trying to make this a good thing, can you tell? :-P It will be a good thing once I get over my addiction to carbs and sugar again. (I've done it before, I can do it again!)
Once I get past the carb cravings, I can slowly start adding some back in (especially the good carbs) in sparing amounts... wish me luck! Ha! ;-)

Something Good at School:
I have been asked to help "pace" the 4th grade ELA Common Core for our county! Our document from the county titled "pacing guide" that we were given this year was all of the standards numbered in order.

Yeah.... no. :-P

Not quite a "guide."

I have been poring over the standards and reflecting on the ideal order of how things should be taught with my partner (there are two of us from each grade level working on them), and although it has given me many headaches, it's been eye-opening. I have been working on a couple of ELA things that I will be revealing very soon, too! I'm really excited about them!! :)

I'll sign off today with a reminder... don't forget to enter my 100 Followers Sweet Giveaway!! :)

Also, I ran a sale in my TPT store in honor of my 100 followers, but that ends tonight at midnight, so go snatch up some wishlist items while they are on sale! :)

  1. Good luck on your healthy eating! My all time favorite snack is protein balls:
    3 cups rolled oats
    1 cup almond butter
    1 cup honey
    1/2 c. flaxseed
    1/2 c. choc. chips
    1/2 c. raisins

Mix it all up and roll them in to balls and keep in the fridge. It's a great/healthy snack to have at school :) Let me know if you need any other ideas. I'm a bit of a health nut!

    1. Thank you!! Yeah, I feel very honored! I've done quite a bit of work with the LA Office at the county, so I'm hoping this means they like me. :-P
